On Wednesday, March 16, please join United Healthcare and UMSL Campus Recreation to celebrate your health and wellbeing. The event will start at 10am with a light breakfast followed by an interactive presentation from UMSL Counseling Services. The day will also include:

Cleola Butler

Shon Hall
Shon Hall has worked in Human Resources for over 20 years in the areas of Employee Relations, Performance Management, and Recruiting. Her industry expertise includes Healthcare, Financial Services, and Retail. She chose to work in Human Resources because she truly enjoys providing guidance and exploring ways to make a difference. In her role, she has the opportunity to work with a wide range of employees at different levels across the organization doing great work and that is very rewarding. She currently holds a Bachelor’s of Art in Human Resources Management and a PHR certification with plans to pursue a Masters in Human Resources Management.

One common theme that has emerged is a desire for a greater sense of community. As a starting point, we would like to offer a资源which suggests ten ideas for fostering an environment in which all team members feel valued, included, and sense of a belonging. Another topic discussed in the focus groups was the desire for more opportunities for staff to offer input. HR will soon launch a short survey for benefit-eligible staff members. This will enable staff members who were unable to participate in a focus group a chance to offer input.

希瑟·弗洛登(Heather Floden)
希瑟·弗洛登(Heather Floden)is one of UMSL’s Senior Human Resources Consultants and has worked in Human Resources for over 15 years. She chose HR as a career because as a profession, it is ever evolving to make things better and allows for opportunities to make a positive impact on employees she works with. Most recently Heather was the HR Director of Training & Development for MERS/Goodwill and prior to that was the HR Manager for a large department of the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, TN. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee. HerSHRM-SCP certification is in progress.

Donna Hunter
Donna Hunter serves as UMSL’s Human Resources Recruitment Consultant. This role allows Donna to share her passion for recruitment through networking and relationship building, while advancing the vision of UMSL. Donna brings over 17 years of experience in academia and recruiting. She began in Michigan, with various roles in Enrollment Services and Corporate Recruitment. When she returned to her home state of Missouri, she progressively earned the role of Client Service Manager, overseeing clients in two states for one of the top largest recruiting firms in the country. She has a Master’s degree in Business Administration with a Concentration in Human Resources, and plans to pursue her doctoral degree.

Terrance McDonald
Terrance McDonald, who recently joined UMSL as a Senior Human Resources Consultant, is an experienced Human Resources partner with over 20 years of progressive interdisciplinary experience in retail, government and distribution having supported multiunit and single site locations with hourly and salaried employees. Other experiences include providing HR services such as staffing and recruitment in a government agency supporting veterans and their families. Terrance’s previous role was with Amazon providing site consultative and strategic HR support to senior leaders regarding employment decisions, performance management, performance reviews, labor planning and associate engagement. Terrance holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology (with some coursework completed at UMSL) and a Master’s degree in Human Resources Management. SHRM-SCP certification is in progress.
